30 Days of Christmas Shopping: Day 1, Spineless Classics

We’ve all heard of the twelve days of Christmas but I’m going to be doing the 30 days of Christmas shopping. From today I’ll be showing you a cool or different gift idea each day up until Christmas Eve. These will range from stocking fillers to personal/creative gifts and just some awesome stuff you may not have thought about. So if you’re looking for something for your boyfriend, girlfriend, sister, brother, Mum, Dad or Bob from the office, stick with me.

To kick things off I’m going to show you something I’ve been going on about on Twitter for months now.

Spineless Classics Posters / A Book on a Page

What can I say? This is a perfect gift for book lovers and story lovers. Each poster has an entire book printed in 4 point font with a silhouette design synonymous with the text. Covering a whole range of classics you’ll be sure to find one that fits the bill.

These beautiful posters are unusual, whimsical and will be a talking point with all your guests. Some are obviously prettier than others, some are more gender neutral and they do come unframed (from most retailers). So remember to factor that in to your costs.

These wonderful posters are available from:

Not on the High Street

The Letter Room

And the cheaper (but not always confidence filling):

Firebox

These suppliers have a limited selection and don’t offer a framed option. After some digging around online, I found the original supplier (currently based in Eton, Berkshire), which two out of three resellers do not reference.

Spineless Classics

On the site you have a wider selection of posters and the option to have them framed along with some other exciting products that will be launched for Christmas. The posters are posted within two working days of ordering and framed posters within 10. Framing costs and subsequence postage costs are dependent on the poster and where they are being posted to so you will have to contact them to get an individual quote. But do not fear! They respond really quickly so you have plenty of time to get your order before Christmas.

If you want to see and/or buy them in person they are available at Selfridges and Urban Outfitters (limited to Alice in Wonderland design and only available at the Kensington store and Urban Outfitters website).

Prices start at £29.99 plus packaging – not exactly breaking the bank for a beautiful, memorable and meaningful present for someone. I know which one I have my eye on!

Remember to follow Spineless Classics on Twitter to get further updates on upcoming products.
