This Saturday I’m having a pre-Christmas Christmas dinner so this just got real y’all! If like me you have loads of nieces, nephews, Godchildren, grandchildren etc but you’re not quite down with the kids then today’s gift idea is for you.
Moshi Monster gifts
I’m sure you’ve seen them in the shops or Lady GooGoo in the news or even Mind Candy’s office on the Young Apprentice but you might not know what it all means.
Moshi Monsters is a social networking, online educational game aimed at children from 7-years-old to 12-years-old. In the game the user gets to adopt a pet monster and has to look after them – feed them, keep them happy, clothe them etc. Kids can play puzzles and other games to earn in-game currency to buy objects. They can also grow their own Moshlings – cute little monsters – by collecting a combination of seeds. They range from unicorns to pandas to a delightful little pup called McNulty.
50 million people play the game around the world and it’s still growing. Earlier this year saw the launch of physical products from the game and some of these will not only get your recipients approval but also some cool points.
I’ll go through some of the products for you and show you some of the places you can buy them.
Moshling Soft Toys
These are really cute, small stuffed animals. There’s quite a wide range available and you can generally pick them up in Clinton Cards, Game, The Entertainer and many other retailers. Great as stocking fillers and super cute – I have the Angel unicorn myself. They’re £6.99 and will be worth so much more to the child.
If the small Moshling toys just won’t cut it then you can purchase a plush version of each main monster. Each toy is roughly 10 inches high and loo exactly like their adopted pet. They talk too! Find out which pet they have and give them a real, talking toy of it and they’ll love you forever. Can be found at Hamleys, Argos and many more costing you a whole £15.
Moshling Treehouse Play Set
Now this takes me back to when I was a child – a treehouse that opens up to reveal a playhouse and storage area for your Moshlings. It comes with a Roxy Moshling figure so if you want to bulk up the gift, you can couple it with some Moshling Figures. Found at similar retailers as mentioned before and a bargain at £19.95.
Moshi Top Trumps
It’s your usual Top Trumps games but with the cute, addictive characters from the game. Great stocking fillers and a great way to get involved with the kids’ game. Only £3.99 from most retailers.
Moshling Zoo for Nintendo DS
And now I end on the biggy. This is going to be one of the hottest gifts this Christmas. It keeps the educational aspect alive but retains the excitement with ultra rare Moshlings to collect. Exclusive content, new areas and knowing that the child in your life won’t be missing out – a win, win situation. Prices start from £24.99 and if you are thinking about buying them a video game, really consider this, they will love it.
So there you have it. There are loads more you can buy from the range and I’m sure you’ll find something to suit any child. Even if they don’t play the game the toys are really cute, bright and fun so why not give it a go… I think you’ll be on to a winner.
