There are plenty of beauty boxes making their way into the market. Most of us are familiar with Glossybox, Carmine and Latest in Beauty but things are slightly different in the beauty box world. Feel Unique no longer offers a beauty box service, a sad state of affairs as I was quite intrigued by their boxes. Boudoir Prive is now Jolie Box and there’s even a new kid in town.
I used to be a Glossybox addict but after the whole Valentine’s box incident (empty samples, some people getting terrible boxes, the ambassadors not only getting the best boxes for free but an expensive bunch of roses too) I cancelled my order. I know some others feel the same way too and are in the same position: boxless, lost in an ocean of choice and a bit angry. I have been trying to decide which box to order and I have landed on one that I’m more than happy to give a go.
She Said Beauty is a brand new beauty box monthly subscription service much like all the others on the market. You will receive 5 sample products from top brands in a wide range of products: hair, skin care, makeup, nails etc. This box is only £9 + p&p a month (so marginally cheaper than most brands) and you have the freedom to cancel whenever you wish.
There are some big names associated with this project (Emma Smith, Beauty Director at ELLE UK, Naomi Mahmud former PR for Estee Lauder) so it will be interesting to see how involved they are and what influence they have over the products. It’s definitely a tick in the pro column whichever way you look at it.
As well as receiving products to test before you pay full whack for them but you can earn points by reviewing or recommending them through their social community – get enough points you get a free box! If you’re a blogger you can also sign up to be an affiliate and earn commission but I need to do a bit more research on this (tax mainly) before I sign up.
It does feel nice that they are pushing this social community incentive and I think they will get a really loyal following out of this social platform but not much information has been released as of yet so we’ll have to wait and see.
The February box has already sold out but if you sign up before the 27th February you can get 25% off – that’s only £6.70 + p&p – the March box. They also do a gift option where you can purchase a bulk subscription for someone and get up to 40% off.
You can’t really argue with this introductory offer so I’ve already signed up for mine. Why not give it a go too?
There is still 25% off your first box if you sign up so have a look.
