44 polishes in 90 days – a nail polish haul

I have a problem. I am a nail polish obsessive. I did a nail polish haul three months ago and I enjoyed showcasing my new buys and it helped me track which polishes I had bought and which I had reviewed. Three months later… I have purchased yet another 44 polishes. Yes. 44 new polishes over the 90 (ish) days. I’m hoping that this blog post will stop me from buying even more and get some feedback from you guys… and that my boyfriend doesn’t read this. I won’t go into detailed descriptions but I will link to any reviews I’ve already done. So here we go.

I’ve broken them into brands so don’t worry,  there won’t be 44 pictures.

I purchased this mini set from Buyapowa and I’ve used two of the colours so far. As always the names are puns based on the collection name. So the Dutch Treats comprise of: I Have a Herring Problem, Red Lights Ahead… Where?, Kiss My on My Tulips and Pedal Faster Suzil. My favourite in the collection is definitely I Have a Herring Problem and I’ve already used about a third of the teeny bottle.

Models Own

With the new Models Own bottle shop in Westfields I couldn’t not go and buy a load of polish. I have mentioned my Models Own haul before but I’ll quickly go through the colours again: Tropical Sun, Hedonist, Pearly Queen, Indian Ocean, Aqua Violet, Emerald Green, Mystic Mauve and a black nail art pen.

China Glaze

I’ve been talking about these a lot on the blog recently and I’m currently working my way through them. I wanted these for ages and when they popped up on Buyapowa recently I had to buy everything I could. Here we have: Stone Cold, Luxe and Lush, Elecrtrify, Harvest Moon, Fast Track and Agro. I have reviewed two of these so far and I can’t wait to show you the rest.

Max Factor

So a while ago Max Factor had a 3 for 2 on at Boots and with the whole Fantasy Fire malarky I had to invest in some of the mini polishes. There are loads of brilliant colours and I’m so pleased that I had the opportunity to give away a couple bottle of the coveted polish. But we want names. Above is: Fantasy Fire, Dazzling Blue, Intense Plum, Disco Pink, Moon Dust, Sunny Pink and Fantasy Fire again.

Barry M

I love Barry M but I’ve got almost all the polishes they sell in my local Boots and Superdrug. I went in to Superdrug today knowing that they had recently released a Teal and some magnetic polishes and though I am intrigued by the magnetics, something held me back. But I still walked out with two polishes and I have a third from February: Teal, Black and Silvery Lilac.

LA Colors

So I wanted to try some “cheaper” brands to test out the quality and despite the fact that I wouldn’t touch their eyeliner with a barge pole their polishes are pretty decent. I think I bought some MUA at the same time but I can’t find them =s. Anyway, here we have: Electrified, Metallic Purple and Sea Siran.

Again with the cheaper brands we have 2true. I picked these up purely for the colours and I’ve used them for nail art but not as proper polish yet. The colours we have are: No. 27 and No. 41.

Miss Sporty

This is the third instalment of my “cheap”r brand polishes and I couldn’t resist. If you haven’t noticed through my blog or with most of the colours I’ve already listed, I’m obsessed with teal and blues. So with that in mind I’ve got 470 and 060.

Natural Collection

My last in the “cheaper” brands is this little ray of sunshine from Natural Collection.  I’ve never used them before but I loved the soft orange and that it had a really delicate shimmer in it. The shade is Antique Coral and I think it’s going to be great during the summer.

From cheaper brands to the most expensive. I love my Chanel polish but I only treat myself to it every-so-often. But saying that, Buyapowa had these two lovely items up with a massive discount so I leapt on them and I managed to get one of them free! So what we have here (and that have reviews) are: Paradoxal and Peridot.

So I picked up these little doe-hickeys at the Bourjois pop up boutique in February. I’ve used one so far in two different nail arts but I’ve not been too impressed with its staying power. But the colours are beautiful. We have Violet Couture (perfect for Effie Trinket nails) and Cerise Noir.

Filthy Gorgeous

This is Tu-Tu Much and I received it in the April She Said Beauty box. It’s a bright pink and really feminine. You can see more about it here.

Miners is semi new to me. I’ve heard of them but I had never used them before. This bright, summery yellow is called Sunny Side Up and it came in the Latest in Beauty Editor’s Choice box which I reviewed earlier this month.

I’m a glitter fiend especially if it has a duo chrome aspect to it and this Pink Spice is just perfect. I think it’ll be a polish I’ll be using on my toes a lot.

No 7

My teal obsession is back. During March, Boots were giving away vouchers to get £5 off No7 products so I snapped this bottle of Totally Teal for about £2. It’s the perfect shade of teal and it will look great with a silver foil gradient. I love it.

So that’s my last three months in nail polish. Have you picked any of these up? Are there any that you want me to review first? Can you give me any tips on how to stop buying polish?

I’m assuming all of these polishes are high end or good quality and don’t ‘crack’ after 2-3 days??

    • The China Glaze has been a bit disappointing for me and I’ve been getting 3-4 days wear, same with the Bourjois. The Chanel Peridot requires a topcoat to get a really decent wear but from what I’ve used so far they’ve all been 3-8 days.

I’d love to see reviews of the Models Own varnishes and how they look on your nails, especially Mystic Mauve, Indian Ocean and Aqua Violet 🙂 x
