Four shades of Kissable

Revlon Just Bitten Kissables

A while ago I went on a little craze and bought all the Revlon Just Bitten Kissables I could find. As they seemed to be a Chubbystick dupe at half the price I thought: ‘hey, why not?’ and followed the masses into the world of moisture rich lip stain… again. With high expectations and after being a fan of the lip butters and the felt-tip like lip stains, I thought I was in for a treat but was that the case? Continue reading

Spreading emotion all over your face – Lush’s new face powder

Lush Emotional Brilliance Face Powder

I mentioned recently that Lush released a new range of makeup called Emotional Brilliance. In addition to the range of brightly coloured eyeliners, shadows and lipsticks they also introduced a new mascara and face powder. I will cover the eyeliner I bought soon but today I’m going to focus on the face powder. Continue reading

A truly Wicked colour

Nails Inc Nail Jewellery, 3D glitter polish in Piccadilly Arcade

Ever since I bought the Barry M Red Glitter roughly… ooo, six years ago (?!) I’ve been after a green glitter. I will happily admit that it’s purely a Wizard of Oz thing, well that and the fact that I’m like a magpie whenever I’m near anything shiny and emerald green. No, really, it’s a problem. I’m almost guaranteed to like something more by roughly 35%. Anyway, I’ve always been a bit dubious of 3D glitter polishes as I didn’t really understand the necessity for the term or really understand the term itself. Alas, when I saw the Nails Inc Piccadilly Arcade on ASOS for £7.50 instead of £11, I thought I would give it a go. It has now returned to the full price on ASOS. Continue reading

The Barry M cop off

Barry M 335 Copper

Recently, Barry M released some much anticipated new nail polishes. It had been a while since a new range had been introduced and as a result, we were gifted with a great selection of daring colours and new technology. I am generally a fan of Barry M so I purchased almost all of the new range. Some I have loved. Some I’m not impressed with. Today’s polish is, unfortunately, one of the latter which is such a shame as it was the one I was most excited about. Continue reading

Emotional Brilliance at Lush

Emotional Brilliance at Lush Regent Street

You must have heard by now that Lush has released a range of colourful cosmetics. The range is called Emotional Brilliance due to an extensive study in colour readings that was performed while creating this range. Each colour can be linked to the inner workings of your brain and the makeup is supposed to be pretty good too so I went down to check it out. Continue reading

Twilight Crush… no not Taylor Lautner

Sorry for my messy application – I was in a rush okay?!

I’m all up for trying something new especially when it comes to nail polish. I recently had the opportunity to try some Nox Twilight nail polishes and today I will be telling you about Crush from the collection.

I’m not a fan of Twilight. I’ve read the books, I’ve seen the films and I honestly don’t know why. My blood boils every time I see or read anything to do with it so I was very dubious about trying the associated nail polish. But like a lot of preconceptions, my reservations were completely unfounded and could have led to me denying myself trying something great.  Continue reading

How I do my foundation…

A lot of my friends ask me how I do my foundation. I have problem skin which has recently become quite oily and it took me a long time to find a way to get my makeup to stick to my face and to get a consistency I was happy with. In the past I’ve used thick foundations, tinted moisturiser, powder foundations, BB creams, the list goes on. I’ve also tried a whole list of tools too: sponges, brushes, egg shaped sponges, fingers etc. Nothing was working for me. I tested and tried until I stumbled upon this method and I’m really happy with it so I thought I’d share it with you. Continue reading

Throw away the key: Private Pink from DuWop

DuWop Private Lipstick

DuWop Private Lipstick

It’s time for yet another product from my June favourites list and this time, it’s a lip product. You should know me well enough by now to know that I’m a bit of a lip nut. I never used to use lip products until I realised that my lips look almost indecent without some form of balm, gloss, tint or lipstick but along with that, I’ve learnt that not all of my lipsticks suit me or may not feel great. Today’s product is one that not only moisturises the lips but it’s long lasting and it changes colour to suit you. Continue reading

Easy, peasy, coconut squeezy – The Body Shop’s Coconut Milk Body Lotion

I’ve mentioned before that I’m really lazy when it comes to moisturising my body. I find it laborious, boring and messy. That is until I purchased the Body Shop Coconut Milk Body Lotion. I mentioned this in my June favourites and I think it’s about time to tell you exactly why. Continue reading
